Creating the Ultimate Dog Daycare in Memphis
2010-2018
Headmaster Pete dreamed of creating a school where dogs are prioritized. A place shaped by their choices, needs, and joy. This mission became the foundation of The Doghouse School.
The Early Days
Before launching the school, Pete set out to learn, explore, and sniff out the best ways to make life better for dogs everywhere.
Fortunately, Pete had a partner in crime. At the time, he was wrapped up in a very serious, very spicy romance with Tally, a little hot dog with a sharp mind, big heart, and a nose for adventure.
Together, they followed their curiosity toward a bigger idea: a world where dogs get to call the shots.
A Bigger Mission
One of Pete and Tally’s most meaningful early moves was launching a global social media campaign to raise awareness for the dogs affected during the Sochi Olympics.
The response was bigger than they ever imagined.
It proved that Pete’s dog-first mission could reach far beyond his own backyard.

2018
Building The Doghouse
By April 2018, Pete was ready to turn his dream into something real.
With unwavering determination and likely one very persuasive stare, he convinced his mom to leave her successful career as an advertising Art Director and help him build a place dogs would genuinely choose for themselves.
Every decision came back to one simple question:
“What would the dogs want?”
That question became the foundation of The Doghouse School: a place built from Pete’s love for dogs, his belief in their choices, and his mission to create a better world for his own kind.
